If u love me, can you convert to Christian for me?
This sound familiar right? You should have been heard from your friend complain to you about his/her partner requested him/her to be converted to Christian.
This is a hard and tough decision, for those who don't have own religion, they might just follow and converted to become Christian. That will be tough for those who already have their own religion and faith in them.
It is common practice in Christian family to find their partner in Christian as well.by I am not a Christian, I don't think I am in good position to comment on this Christian must find back Christian, if you are not Christian then convert to become Christian. Sound like if you marry Muslim, you must convert to Islam.
That's why I choose to be a Buddhist, where I will never be forced to become Buddhist by anybody.
Ask your gf/bf back the following question if they ask you become Christian,
If you love me, can you please don't force to convert me?
If you love me, can you please don't convert to become Buddhist, Taoism, or Muslim?
If you love me, can you please respect me?
If you love me, can you let me to have the freedom to choose my religion?
Actually, you get to know more about Christianity first by joining their activities before make any decision. Maybe after you listen to Christianity talk, you will agree with their philosophy and really become a well and good Christian. But fair a bit, ask your gf/bf come for Buddhism activities and listen to Buddhism's philosophy as well.
Just do not simply give away your faith or religion easily because of LOVE.

I think mutual respect plays an important role here. Personally, i do not feel that different religion can do harm to relationships. After all, each religion teaches their follower to do good than harm.....
Most common case happen like this, your bf come to your house, he don't eat any food provided because it is not being cook in "Christian Ways", you don't might he eat or not, but do you think your mother will be offended ?
