I was there to witness how Malaysia top pair lost in 2nd round of Malaysia Open. Why they lost? Simply, pressure ... pressure and pressure...
It is just like the same situation happened at last year World Championship, Tan Boon Heong can't keep the pressure and do 4 consecutively unforce errors when it is tile at 16-all. Tan Boon Heong even dropped his racket at the crucial moment, this show how nerve he was. I do not blame him, but to blame the BAM and especially the media. More precisely, the Mandarin Media...
I just can't stand with the mandarin media, try to make the players be celebrity after they won the All England Champion last year. Headlines everyday, varieties of outings, all these really disturb their training progress and most importanly, bring pressure to themselve. I still feel funny with one mandarin called them "DIAMOND PAIR". They just won a All England Champion, call them "DIAMOND PAIR" after they have World Champion and Olympic Gold Medalist on their necks first. Too many un-necessary pressure being put these 2 young man ...
For the sake of their future, I hope the media can hand off them. Let them just concentrate on their training and badminton career.
It was a funny game to watch between CCM-CCE vs Chinese Taipei pair. First, during the warm up, I found out the Mas pair seem just drop and play net rather than hit hard to warm up themselve. Definitely they are conserving their energy :P haha
They won comfortably the first game, but lost in 2nd game after a good start, as they totally out of stim. hahahaha Luckily they won the game in 3rd set through their experience. One thing I notice, this Mas pair just enjoy the match, even smile during the match.
What the KKK-TBH lacking is just enjoy their game, as too much pressure being put at their shoulder to bring glory to Malaysia. Let's this two young man enjoy their game and learn to control the pressure well as remember they just not more than 23 years old for KKK and not more then 21 years old for TBH... Hand off them !!!
